About Our Guest: Taylor Tieman
"Hi! I'm Taylor (she/her). I'm a coffee-obsessed, English Bull Terrier mom of two that loves Pilates, the beach, craft beer, and baseball (go Dodgers!) I’m a former D1 softball player and my placements are Cancer moon, Leo sun, and Scorpio rising.
You’ll only catch me in a suit in court - most days I’m sporting athleisure wear drafting up trademark applications, reviewing contracts, and helping business owners get legally protected! Legal is not supposed to be "scary,” and guess what - you can actually be friends with your attorney!
My legal career began in consumer protection for law firms here in Los Angeles, but I found that on my own, I could better serve new, first time, and small business owners and entrepreneurs by sharing the legal knowledge I’ve accumulated litigating against big businesses. I specifically love counseling and supporting Latinx-owned businesses by sharing my own experiences as a fellow Latina business owner."
As of January 1, 2021, Legalmiga is donating 5% of all profits to L.E.A.P. (Legal Education Access Pipeline), a fellowship program supporting students who are historically underrepresented in the legal field: people of color, people who identify as LGBTQ+, first-generation college students, and people who are socioeconomically-disadvantaged.
